Photo Gallery

What I have here are photographs I took with the Olympus Camedia C-760 Ultra Zoom on my caucasian trip. Think of it as an album !

Didube station! A train/metro right next to a bus station, buses here will take you all over the country. Old men will yell out the place theyre going to and you just have to pay them and they'll guide you to their 'marshrutka'.

From Tbilisi I arrived in Stepantsminda, some locals still call it Kazbegi. Almost didn't get off and wouldve gone straight to Vladikavkaz..

Radio tower, Stapantsminda has very high elevation so they don't need towers here.

The city is located in northern Georgia and used to be the entry point from where russian troops would march south.

I was very envious of the mountains they have here since Estonia is flat like a pancake.

Mountain lion

My slow climb up the mountain, there are alot of animals in Georgian towns, alot of stray dogs and cats, horses, sheep and even cows who moo at you.

I think this is the old bridge crossing the Terek river.

That is the place I'm climbing to, wish me luck!

Climbing done, very worth it for the view.

Very pretty view, not sure what this tower was.

When I was there in mid summer the temperature was around 16 degrees compared to around 30 in Tbilisi.

Last look at Stepantsminda before heading back to the capital.

Back in Tbilisi! Got lost a couple of times but thats not a bad thing when the city is pretty.

Mother Georgia peeking over the houses.

View of the city, I think its pretty funny just how many different churches you can spot just from here.

Heading to Yerevan after this, I was hoping to board a train but those take a whole day to get there.

Arrival in Yerevan! Don't recommend during midsummer to go adventuring around town.

I think I prefer Yerevan over Tbilisi, but if it wasnt for the summer heat I think I wouldve enjoyed it more.

I arrived right before Vardavar, the heat was around 36 degrees to it was fun to celebrate.

Old trolleybuses still in use here.

Arrival in Dilijan, a 'resort town' in northern Armenia.

Some older, very cool looking buildings.

I dont know why you need the sign depicting the house right in front of the house.

The modern part of town, sometimes you might run into russian molokans who dress funny.

The hills really add to the cozy wibe.

Wandering around, the whole city it basically 2 long streets.

I really liked how peaceful the city was.

Monument to the 50th Anniversary of Soviet Armenia..

The old bus stop.

My housing for a night back in Tbilisi, the people here are very nice even if they dont speak english or russian that well.

The 'Ejmiatsin' Armenian church, the Georgian and Armenian chruches look very similar.

Picture of a very cute cat in the Tbilisi aiport settlement, last picture of the trip and a fitting one.
